Colorization of a postcard of Fort de Lucey, near Nancy in 1915

Built in 1875 and modernized in 1904, this fort was occupied in 1915 by the 68th Infantry Regiment and the 6th Artillery Regiment. Delicate points of the service: a definition to be reinforced by a prior restoration and the choice of colors. Indeed, it was in 1915 that the horizon blue uniforms gradually replaced the famous madder red pants. It is also the shape of the kepi which suggests that the transition was indeed made at the time of the photo.
